GRUMLIN
My problem is an odd one - I have several games of CMBO and CMBB running by email. I have to keep swapping the blimmin CDs over again and again as they wont both sit in the CD drives (I have two) and both work. Any ideas? Kirill S.
Crazy Idea: Make a blank CD with the filenames "CMBB Installer.exe" and "Combat Mission.exe" or whatever they're exactly called and insert that cd. I doubt that CMBB checks for volume names, rather, it checks for exe file names. DISCLAIMER: This might result in a wasted CD and a disappointment
dieseltaylor
Have you tried cloning them to your hard drive? I am sure I did it to CMBO. I think I used CDclone made life very easy. This was pre CDV days
pavlov
On my mac I've used a disk image of CMBO since the begining, just for convenience. I've tried it with CMBB as well but it doesn't work. CMBB refuses to recognize the disk image. I assume that was intentional to protect against pirating.
Barleyman
If you put "combat mission" no-cd into google, you'll find some helpful files.
