Gster
Loving the new version of CM. I'm a mac user so I'm really happy you've continued your support for the platform. Any plans to release a battle of France mod (40) or Poland (39)? I'd love to see some of those French tanks in CM.
gunnergoz
Here's a thread where this is answered, but in brief, neither of the topics you ask about are being looked at. http://www.battlefront.com/community/showthread.php?t=95267&highlight=commonwealth+module This thread is generally informative too: http://www.battlefront.com/community/showthread.php?p=1216135&highlight=Family#post1216135
Bastables
No chance at all of seeing French tanks in cm best chance was this one, CMBN as 21st panzer division had on strength Somua tanks in 6-8 tank company and actully used them in the initial abortive attacks against US held beaches. wait i'm wrong II battalion had somua but at the time of the landing were converting over to panthers. For some reason (stupidity) I conflated reports of airborne infantry engaging tanks that fled after being attacked by small arms fire as the 21st div's somua's French tanks that would have seen action in desperation would have been under two units: Panzer Ausbildungs und Ersatz Abteilung (Panzer replacement battalion) 100, attached to the 91st Airlanding Division and located near Carentan with 1 S35, 8 H38s or H39s, 1 Char B2, 5 37mm gunned FT-17/18s plus one Panzer III and Panzer Abteilung 206 with 10 S35s, 28 H39s and and 6 Char B2s.
Gster
That's a pity but I understand the decision. It's still fantastic game even so.
