nwenz
During a recent TCP/IP game, the data transfer bar will show 99% complete during the download and then the game will beep and lock up. It will then crash and display a message saying the BtoB.exe has had a problem. The uploading computer acts as if it has sent the turn and is able to view the action phase. We have successfully completed several small scenarios w/o a problem until now. After investing 3 hrs into a game it is depressing to see it end this way. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thx
Redwolf
Well, you can restart from the autosave, of course. As for reasons, if you can play small scenarios but not bigger ones, try to reduce the MTU on the network interfaces of both computers, so e.g. 500 bytes.
nwenz
Thanks I will try that. We did try to restart with autosave multiple times but the same thing kept happenning. The host computer was able to convert the turn to a PBEM and I could play it, but we would prefer to continue playing TCP/IP mode. Our computers both use DSL modems, 1 gig of RAM, and are both using Windows Xp.
Redwolf
In previous bugs it helped to play one move as PBEM, then continue the next move in TCP. I figure you have the CDV version. Is your opponents playing with the CDV version as well?
