GreenAsJade
Sorry if this has been discussed, there have been more threads than I can keep up with. When I start the Tutorial in Basic mode I get _zero_ in game information about where the enemy is. When I start it in Warrior mode (supposedly harder/more realistic) I get "?" icons in all the major enemy locations. I'm thinking that this is likely due to C&C operating in Warrior mode, telling my gues that the company HQ knows roughly where the bad guys are. In Basic mode the manual says C&C is not operating. But this is a bit silly, right? In Basic mode things should work "easier" not harder... GaJ
mrpwase
It's a valid point you make, but to be honest, if you're playing on Basic Training difficulty you will most likely spot the units alluded to by the pre-battle recon '?'s, and you shouldn't be playing on Basic past your first few games anyway
GreenAsJade
I think this is one simply for BTS to worry about, introducing people to the game. And that's probably not high on the agenda, so we can put it down to "yeah, who cares", for sure. It just ... is. And I dunno if you tried it, but actually Basic is quite a lot harder than Warrior for the Demo, especially "blind" (IE if you don't already know where those guys are). You loose a _lot_ of scouters, compared to knowing where the bad guys, roughly, are sitting. GaJ

Haha, I think I just found out why I got a total defeat on my first playthrough and a total victory on my second...
GreenAsJade
It does help to know where the bad guys are eh? Then you just get a spotter in place, blow the crap out of them with the mortars, and mop up. Too easy
