Michael Emrys
And I also have known a few people who smoked pot really heavily, lost all ambition and interest, and completely ruined their lives. Most of them are dead now, not of pot specifically, but because they got so down and out that they got involved in more dangerous things (drugs or otherwise). Which seems to point to something I've been saying for a long, long time. And that is, that people who use a drug, any drug, to excess probably start out with unbalanced personalities or life situations that preclude finding a sense of well-being in other ways that we would regard as normal. abneo3sierra
pretty sure i agree with that Michael, that is probably the key. If you have an "addictive" personality, no matter the drug you choose, you WILL be ruined by it.
Affentitten
How is saying that alcohol is dangerous a valid refutation of the fact that there is an established indication between cannabis use and mental illness in some people?

abneo3sierra
Aff.. I think ( I hope ) that the argument being made was that if one was legal, the other should be as well. If on the other hand, the argument is that because alcohol is worse, marijuana is ok...then I agree with you that would be a rather foolish way to look at it.
