Deadskin Posted October 18, 2003 Share Posted October 18, 2003 Just picked up the retail version of CMBB and its telling me there is no CD. I tried the things in tech support but they didn't help. Schrullenhaft Posted October 18, 2003 Share Posted October 18, 2003 Did you patch the game with a patch on this website ? If so you did the wrong thing. The retail version of the game should have the latest patch and if it doesn't, it has to use the CDV patch (support is mentioned in this hyperlink). It's also possible that your CD/DVD drive may not cooperate very well with the copy protection scheme that CDV uses. If you're using WinXP, make sure that you are not using 'compatibility mode' for CM which can cause some disc reading problems (right click on the launching icon and select Properties...). 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Panzertruppe Posted October 18, 2003 Share Posted October 18, 2003 I have CMBB-SE (CDV) you have to install the game by going to "My computer" and clicking on your hard drive..then click the installer. Once the game is installed you have to have the CD in the drive then click your desktop icon to start. When are you getting the "no cd" error? Madmatt Posted October 20, 2003 Share Posted October 20, 2003 As stated above, if for some reason you have compatability mode enabled for the game, it will NOT detect the CD. There is no reason you should ever have to run compatability mode in XP for either CMBO or CMBB as the games support XP natively.
