lettowvorbeck
What is the OOB of the Bulgarian Army in the game? Since the AI dispersed it all over the place I never got a handle of its size, but I only saw two corps and 1 detachment for a force that should be almost 500,000 in three armies. The Rumanian OB is too small, just 3 corps and 1 detachment, for an army that had 650,000 men after mobilization.
Bill101
Bulgaria starts with 1 HQ, 2 Detachments and 3 Corps, while Romania starts with 1 HQ, 4 Corps and 1 Detachment. Both have the capacity to be enlarged in the game through unit purchases should you so wish.
lettowvorbeck
Oops, yes, I meant 4 Rumanian corps. I guess I was expecting there to be at least 6 corps at mobilization as that would give them enough troops to launch their historical southern Carpathian offensive while guarding their vulnerable western and southern flanks. Bill101
The Romanian army seems to have started with four Corps and then expanded up to seven, but when it had seven it seems that a lot of units were understrength. Increasing the mobilized strength of the Romanian army is now on my "things to consider" list.
lettowvorbeck
Thanks for the response, Bill. BTW, though it seems like all of my questions are criticisms I do want to say I love the game and the skillful balancing and marvelous attention to detail of your scenario designs [i am a published wargame designer myself (American Civil War), so I know what goes into it!]. Bill101
Thanks, and don't worry, your tone shows that you aren't here to just criticise. Glad to hear that you're loving the game too!
