lettowvorbeck
The minor power list includes both Montenegro and Albania as minor powers. From the map screenshots, it looks like the game simplifies things by just making Montenegro a satellite of Serbia (at least the units there have the same flag). The Serbs retreated through Albania to the sea for evacuation, and from what I've read, were harassed by Albanian partisans. In game terms, do they "join" the Entente? Do they have any units? Greece is another situation problematic to a wargame. They were "neutral" until mid 1917 (not contributing their own troops until after that point), but basically were forced to allow Allied troops into the Salonika perimeter from 1915 onward. How does the game handle this?
Bill101
Hi It might not be clear in the screenshots as the flags are very similar, but Montenegro and Serbia are both separate identities with their own armed forces. As to Greece, that took a lot of thought but the game handles this with a variety of scripts and even decisions that players can make. It gives a good approximation of what happened, and allows for the Entente to attempt to gain a bridgehead in the Balkans from where they can either help Serbia, or threaten Bulgaria and the Ottomans. Or even Austria-Hungary itself if they are feeling so bold. Bill
lettowvorbeck
Very good, Bill, thanks for the help. It is going to be really fun playing the Entente, with the ability to use the navies to open up multiple secondary fronts.
