Schrullenhaft Posted February 17, 2002 Share Posted February 17, 2002 ATI's DirectX drivers don't support fog-tables (or emulation thereof), so you won't see fog with an ATI-based video card. This includes the latest and greatest Radeons such as the 8500, etc. No registry tweakers fix this issue either; so you may see listings for 'z fog', 'w fog', etc. in the tweaker control panels but it doesn't fix the issue with CMBO. This isn't a problem on the Mac where the ATI RAVE drivers do support fog-tables. If you want fog-table support bad enough you will have to upgrade your video card to something else. NVidia-based cards are popular, though the drivers aren't always perfect. The GeForce line supports all of the special effects that CMBO/CMBB has.
