toxic.zen
OK, I'm finishing up a scenario i have developed, in which some hostages are held by Syrian forces in a prison... what I'm unsure of is how to reward points to the blue side for successfully rescuing them? and maybe give the red side a penaltiy for losing them? and to a lesser degree how do i assure the red side if human controlled doesn't just choose to go down to the cells and shoot the prisoners thus denying the blue points? the "hostages" are portrayed by spy units... my idea for the latter issue was just to tell the red side they shouldn't do it, and it is on there honor to not "Cheat"...
toxic.zen
one thing occurred to me, I could remove the doors to the small cell buildings. Then the only way in would be with explosives, this would make it so the red side couldn't get to the prisoners so easily, and would even make the "prison break" seem more realistic and exciting... though I'm still unsure how to work the points out as i wondered in my first post...
Dietrich
Would that a veteran scenario designer could comment on this, but I believe the way to penalize Blue for failing to rescue the prisoners would be to assign Red a Unit Objective "attached" to the prisoner units so that if they get killed, Red gets points. Also, representing the prisoners by Spy units could be tricky, since they'll disappear (and thus be unable to actually get rescued) as soon as Red spots them. I haven't yet tested this myself, but I had the idea of using Uncon Forward Observers in place of Spies, since I believe they don't disapppear when spotted.
