Mad_Martin
I'm getting ready to do some traveling, and I was wondering if it is possible to set up CMBO and/or CCBB (I have both) to play without the CD. I have a PCMCIA CD-ROM, but it dramatically shortends my batter life with I using it when my laptop is not plugged in.
Schrullenhaft
Sorry, but the information that you are requesting is frowned upon by BFC/BTS. While it may not be any sort of news to those who practice software piracy all the time with numerous software titles, providing this information does make it a bit easier for the casual software pirate. Your intent sounds legitimate and not necessarily condoning of piracy, but the solutions available are typically geared towards software piracy. You need either something to 'crack' the CM executable so it doesn't look for the CD (regarded as illegal) or you need something that will 'emulate' a CD with a directory on a hard drive (something of a gray-area legally, but it could be ruled illegal in the terms of the 'software agreement'). There is legitimate software out there that can perform the 'CD emulation'.
