SpainEd Posted June 14, 2010 Share Posted June 14, 2010 Yesterday my fears bacame true and my hard drive crashed. Judging by the sounds it makes, I think the read/write head is crashing in the disk surface. I've been able to mount the disk using a live ubuntu, but I don't think I can recover much without extending the damage further. Anyway, I can't start Windows, so anything in the registry is gone now. One of my problems is that without being able to start windows, I can't unlicense my CM:SF copy directly form the uninstaller or the unlicenser utility. Helpdesk says that all licenses can be installed two times without having to reset the key. That applies to the 1.21 patch also? If so, that's one less problem to worry about.
