Battlefront Repository Posted May 17, 2010 Share Posted May 17, 2010 Operation Barbarossa is underway and the fanatical 3rd SS Panzer grenadier division "Totenkopf" spearheads the advance of the 2nd Korps of the 16th army.Their opening advance bloodies over the over extended soviet 16th Rifle Corps who fall back behind the river Nieman. Having reorganized they turn back around and prepare to challenge Totenkopf for possesion of the key city of Kaunas in Lithuania.reinforced with armor from the nearby 3rd mechanized Corps they will be pushed to the brink by Totenkopf.The 3rd SS has deployed a veteran battalion of infantry bolstered by a hodge bodge assortment of panzers from many different sources to capture this key objective.Along with heavy assault guns and heavy artillery the divsion intends to obliterate all that stands before it.
