Ari Maenpaa
Just to report this fact: I'm running AMD Thunderbird 900Mhz with ATI's new Radeon 64 DDR card in windows98 and can't get CM's fog graphics enabled. I just downloaded and installed the latest drivers but to no avail. Any further help is appreciated. Thank you. Ari
Schrullenhaft
Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any support for fog-tables on the PC for ATI's entire Rage and Radeon series of cards. Whether this is a hardware or a software issue, I'm not sure. If fog-table emulation is done in the driver, then ATI hasn't supported it for years. There are a number of games that have fog problems with the ATI chips (on PCs) other than CM, so maybe it will be fixed (or more appropriately - added) someday, but I wouldn't count on it. ATI seems to be set on just supporting vertex-based fog (which, depending on the time and complexity to program, Charles may add to CM2 - but that is strictly just a "hoped for" feature). I had to get an unofficially released beta (3063) so that the screen wouldn't go completely gray in the battlefield window when fog was on. Ari Maenpaa
Thank You for information. I also downloaded beta 3063 drivers and now it's at least possible to play foggy scenarios. Althought without fog. I should have bought NVidia. Ari
