John Kettler
The Lockheed Martin Skunk Works developed RQ-170 UAV has been confirmed to exist by the Air Force, but what confuses me is that the design looks more like the Northrop-Grumman B2 than any design from the former. Description indicates a tactical, rather than a strategic role. Being tactical, it falls under the CM:SF rubric. http://www.aviationweek.com/aw/generic/story_channel.jsp?channel=defense&id=news/BEAST120409.xml&headline=USAF%20Confirms%20Stealthy%20UAV%20Operations Some very informed observers don't seem to be buying the whole story being offered, both on the unarmed status and the RQ-170's intended level of operation and mission. http://www.aviationweek.com/aw/blogs/defense/index.jsp?plckController=Blog&plckBlogPage=BlogViewPost&newspaperUserId=27ec4a53-dcc8-42d0-bd3a-01329aef79a7&plckPostId=Blog%3a27ec4a53-dcc8-42d0-bd3a-01329aef79a7Post%3a649e3cf4-8c07-4739-82cf-322c6c56ccd5&plckScript=blogScript&plckElementId=blogDest Regards, John Kettler
