ChrisND
I've been busy. I am currently constructing a campaign called Vanguard. In it you will lead a 12 man Special Forces Operational Detachment - Alpha from 5th Group. Ten years ago the nation Kerplakistan invaded the Republic of Zumetistan and installed a puppet government. A large resistance movement formed from civilians and former soldiers have been waging guerilla warfare on the occupying force ever since as a part of the Resistance. The region received little international attention until last month, when Kerplakistan openly invaded another neighbor. A NATO-led coalition is being prepared to drive Kerplakistani forces across their borders. In order to buy time for conventional forces to deploy, a joint special operations task force (JSOTF) is tasked with infiltrating into the country and leading the Zumetistani resistance in attacking strategic locations within the country. Your ODA will enter the country, unite as many warlords as possible, and organize a small army to take the strategic city Hamet. The large majority of the combat will be done with a rag-tag resistance force trained and organized by your ODA. Along the way you will work with other SOF in the task force, including other ODAs from 5th Group, Marines from the 2nd Marine Special Operations Battalion, British SAS, and CIA SOG. The campaign will be from 16-20 missions in length. The large majority of these will be 30 minutes to 1 hour in length. As can be expected, the campaign will have custom skins for the troops, and an accompanying PDF. I am borrowing heavily from Iraq and Afghanistan in constructing the campaign.
