ReconE9
I'm trying to learn CMSF Marines..when playing any missions, training or quick battle, when I unload troops from the tracks, they no longer show up on the battlefield. No troops, no icon..nothing. Needless to say, if I can't find them, I can't use them! All of the vehicles show up just fine. Is there something I need to turn on/enable?
missinginreality
Could try turning off shadows [alt-s] see if that helps? Oh...no icons though? Hmmm, that's very weird. Do you have troop icons when they are in the vehicles?
ReconE9
Yes, when they are in the tracks their icon shows, and I can have them dismount. But once they leave the track, neither the troops or their icon shows. It only effects troops - for example: in the first Training scenario, where the troops start off outside of the Strykers and you have to load them up - the Strykers are there, but the troops are not.
missinginreality
darn that's odd Unless someone else comes up with any less drastic ideas I'd suggest uninstalling and re-installing SF. I take it you've not got any mods installed yet? if so, remove all those to try too.
ReconE9
Found the problem - it was the shadows..however the Hotkey to turn them off is [alt-w] instead of [alt-s]. But thanks for putting me on the right path, Missinginreality!

SlapHappy
In my Nvidia card settings, turning ON extension limits will cause this to happen, too.
