meade95
When setting up a scenario (to be played Vs computer) am I missing an obvious value (I can directly adjust) in terms of setting the conditions in which the computer AI will offer a surrender / truce? Or is this direclty / in-directly related to the morale of units still within the AO of where the scenario is taking place? If I wanted to create a situation where all the guys are a bunch of dead-enders and are willing to stay and fight until the end......(and I do not want the AI surrendering early / even with heavy losses)....is the way to accomplish this simply setting the vast majority of enemy units to "fanatic" or "extreme"? Thanks
Delta228
Thats the way I've always done it I think thats just about the point of the Motivation scale.
Field Marshal Blücher
A more reliable way to do it that doesn't impact the actual course of the battle (as setting units to "Fanatic" or "Extreme" will do) is, if the battle is under 1 hour, to give the enemy huge reinforcements that will never arrive (i.e. a Mechanized Battalion arriving at 60 minutes).
birdstrike
I'd also be interested in some more details about how the auto surrendering works. In a scenario I'm making, even fanatic troops surrendered too early sometimes (IMHO). I used the workaround, also mentioned by Blücher - added some "dummy" reinforcements which now makes them fight through the end. But of course, that's not a perfect solution.
