Thefly
Hi, I would love to play Strategic Command (2) on my brand new netbook (Asus eeePC 100h), but the game fails to start because of the needed resolution of 1024x768x32. The maximum physical resolution of the netbook is 1024x600, but within windows it can display 1024x768 with paning or compressing. Unfortunaly SC2 doesnt notice this. Is there any solution for this? Regards, //thefly
Hubert Cater
Hi Thefly, Unfortunately the only way to resolve this would be for development testing on a similar Netbook (on my end) and since I don't have access to such a system it is unlikely to occur. Probably not the answer you were hoping for but it's the best I can give at the moment. Hubert
Thefly
I solved the problem with a little work-around - I've found a small tool called "AsTray", which enables custom resolutions, also compressed ones. I've set it to 1024x768 and .. tadaa it works. The graphics are vertically compressed, but looks still "okay".

gyneco
Hi, I have also the same problem. thanks to Thefly for offering the solution, but 1024x768 on a 1024x600 resolutin makes images somehow distorted. If a native game mode of 1024x600 be available all should be OK. Can you offer us a patch forthis?? Regards, fahri
Hubert Cater
Not in the near future unfortunately as it would require an extensive rewrite of the minimum resolution and interface.
