John Kettler
Silver Dragon, You might be interested to know that my brother, Ed Kettler, figures prominently in your game doings, having been intimately involved in both the paper and computer Harpoon games (including authoring South Atlantic War, used by the Naval War College as a textbook and now published by CoA) and the CaS series. Many years ago, I also got to meet Larry Bond through my brother and fight a bloody battle as the commander of a Soviet Kirov based SAG vs. the Enterprise CVBG, commanded by Ed, with Larry as ref. This was back when there were almost no U.S. standoff weapons, so while Ed's carrier survived, hurt, his air group was practically annihilated, along with much of his escort. My SAG didn't survive, but bled him white before dying. Will let him know about your group. Regards, John Kettler
John Kettler
Forgot to add that Ed wrote the scenario book for Fear God and Dread Nought and is working on CaS part deux. Call his library impressive! Regards, John Kettler

John Kettler
DASman, Saw that story on another site (Trib or Washington Times, forget which; even had a sketch someone made of the craft at the time), but was debating on whether to post it. I think, though, the Oriskany's experience, as portrayed on the History Channel, would be more on point. That ship was a magnet for the craft! On a related note, SPI's Foxbat vs. Phantom DID have special rules for both a UFO and a dragon! Larry was a cool guy, but he brooked no nonsense when it came to sorting out the battle. Mind, he used to be a naval intel weenie! Regards, John Kettler
