SlapHappy
I'm playing the Texas Mall fan-made scenario (pretty cool) and I am having trouble once I get inside the buildings and meet infantry close-up. It seems like just a handful of Marines can slaughter a couple of squads by themselves. I understand defending a position is advantageous, but that advantageous? My guys seem to freak out or go to ground. Other times they scurry around the room like rabid badgers. I've tried firing arcs and moving in from two angles on one defensive position. I've tried firing up suspect areas with area fire, which uses up a tremendous amount of ammo, usually with at best one enemy casualty, and a following hunt command into the area is usually still highly disastrous. Can anyone help here. Are the Marines just too tuff? Maybe I should stick with Syrian irregulars
DaveDash
The problem with that scenario is its extremely difficult to get a 3:1 ratio when assaulting buildings due to the terrain obstructions. In order to successfully assault a building you either need lots of smoke or lots of surpression, which you have neither of in this mission.
