Hurricane damage to Lone Star Flight Museum

Recommended Posts

A number of the museum's star attractions, including some irreplaceable World War II warbirds that are mainstays on the air show circuit, made it to safety before Ike arrived. That includes its two big bombers — the B-17 and B-25 — the P-47 Thunderbolt, F4U Corsair and Grumman Hellcat and Bearcat fighters, SBD Dauntless divebomber, T-6 and Stearman trainers and the DC-3 passenger plane that had been restored and donated by Continental Airlines.

And that's why it's important to keep them flying.
