In the meantime, why don't you download my "Cloverleaf" and "Trumpet" junction maps and "Laurel and Hardy" scenario, plus MikeyD's Fixed Highways mod, from CMMODS to see how curved highways can be made. My junctions not only had curves but spiralling entrance and exit ramps.
