Sytass
Ok, it has been an issue before that when players with the German and the US version want to set up a PBEM game the US player has to start, because if the German player starts the game, the US version cannot load it. And so I played a happy game via PBEM, and when it was over we started another one. We could buy units, get our first move done, and with the 2nd turn, when I (German version) want to load the PBEM file the game freezes opn the load screen. To make sure, my opponent zipped the PBEM file which I unpacked this morning. Trying to load it gives this message in a small window: "Unhandled exception: c0000005 At address: 004304e9" And then the game crashes (abnormal program termination).

BeWary
Sometimes data corruption happens. Before you give up, try having him resend the file. If it still doesn't work, have him redo the turn and generate a new file. BeWary
