hellas1
Hi all, I'm new to these forums. I'm very fascinated by a WWII RTS that is similar to the Total War series. I've been thinking about buying it for some time along with Les Grognards. I have 2 questions, since I've only tried the demo: Did this "Uber" patch fix a lot of problems thus bringing the game to "Awesome" status? If not, How would you rate the game and why? I've seen the TOW2 trailer, nice btw, and was wondering if that game will add anything to TOW game play, AI or graphics wise? Thank anyone who responds! hellas1
KiloPapa
I bought ToW a few days ago using the 30% off summer sale, and I feel that it's worth the $30 I spent. It seems like you have to micromanage your infantry more on the defensive, and since I'm wading through the German campaign right now I haven't had to do too much of that searching combat kits BS. Maybe I missed it but it doesn't seem like you can replay a video of your mission? It would be nice to just watch one through the eyes of one of your tanks/infantry. Moon
hellas1, I'll let others comment on TOW, but just so much: TOW2 is not a "patch" or expansion to TOW. It's a new standalone game.
hellas1
Hey all, I bought the game over the weekend and installed it and love it. The ONLY WWII RTS like the Total War series. Such a different concept and tough to historically portray while being "doable" as a fun thing: Managing individuals instead of units, as in ancient and medieval warfare. I can only anticipate and watch TOW2 develop. I wonder if the next TOW (TOW3) will cover the Russian front or perhaps the Pacific. hellas1
