hobo
hey Guys - Bush was right. There were WMDs in Iraq and they did find there way to Syria during the invasion. How do I know? Every time I play a game, within the first 5 minutes the game freezes for 30 minutes or so. When it starts to move again there is an explosion and roughly half of the battlefield is nothing but A smoking crater. Has anybody experiened this effect? It happened to me in the training scenario and during the first battle in the operation. - Hobo
peleprodigy
i'm amazed that you had the patience to wait out a 30 minute game freeze.
thelmia
I've had nuclear car bombs that explode several times in a row. Pretty funny in multiplayer- I think it's caused by lag.
rune
The lag could be the multi-processor bug. What is your processor? The patch from MS may help, but don't want to steer you to the wrong fix if you have an AMD. Rune
hobo
Rune and BFC - I have a AMD Athalon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4400+ 2.21 Ghz w/ 1 GB memory. Any suggestions? Thanks. Hobo

birdstrike
Just a guess, but this could be because of the dual core processor. Did you try the suggestions here? Another thing that might help you: I had a similar problem with a different game. I downloaded the dual core optimizer from the AMD site. Not sure if that really helps you, but I never had any problems with this game again or CMSF.
rune
hobo, Try the AMD patch, but for some it made matters worse. If it doesn't work or makes things worse, uninstall and try setting the affinity so that only 1 processor is used. Yes, definitely do the multicore power fix however. Rune Worse case none of this works, email me and will see what I can do.
