Glumly
Hi, i downloaded the demo to basically see if the game was for me. The problem im haveing is that as soon as i click on a unit the game crashes, sometimes there is a delay of a second or so but this ALWAYS happens, ive tried both mission. I updated my graphics drivers to the most recent at ATI and preformed the hotkeys fix. The game runs fine as long as i dont do anything, it looks really good i just cant click on a unit! My Setup... Glumly
Ok after a little experimentation i have the following results... I have turned down my graphics options and set resolution to 1024x768, it was running good before but i changed em anyway, i also turn off shadows in game. I can select a stryker, there is some lag and the game freezes for a second but after that i can issue commands and stuff and i have even moved the IFV over a few turns no problem, i can now also select infantry about 50% of the time with no crash but the INSTANT i click move the game hangs. Im totally baffled by this andtbh if i didnt love the look of the game so much i wouldnt even bother, please fix this! Anywho back to CMBB...
Moon
Not sure if this helps, but this is from an email from somebody with and AMD 64: >>> More information on the AMD Athlon 64 X2 fix... Here is my fix configuration I used to get the game to work without lockups and with both CPUs: The Microsoft hotfix is installed. The AMD drivers are installed. The AMD Dual Core Optimizer is NOT installed. And it works now...no lockups, no crashes, even playing scenarios that always locked up before. Beautiful!
Glumly
Appreciate the info Moon but not all that useful to me as i dont have a Dual Core CPU, just a plain old 3000+ and as far as i can find there are no vista drivers for my chipset <gah>
