PanzerkwVIIIMaus
i haven't been doing much work, but it's coming together really nicely. i'm almost done with tint on the land. afterwards i have to put down houses and roads, trees, then bridges
PanzerkwVIIIMaus
uh oh... i don't think this map can happen. i ran a quick battle test to see how it looks and... beyond the boundaries of the map, i was expecting to see water, but instead i see more land that was lowered, but has no water. worse of all, you can see the tinting
Gnasher
Have you generated a water farmaintex.tga? If not you will certainly need to make one.
PanzerkwVIIIMaus
well, i look into the dunkirk map i was editing and, yeah there's a farmaintex.tga
Gnasher
You'll need to make a new one with just water for it to look right. Use photoshop or paintshop pro or any program that can save TGA files. The dimensions should be 1024x1024 pixels.
PanzerkwVIIIMaus
i loaded the farmaintex.tga and... it doesn't make sense on how to add water. i qdon't get a view of the outside part of the map
Gnasher
I think you miss my point mate. Take a screen shot of the water from something like IL2 then resize & save as a .tga, et voila, you have your farmaintex.
rofl
It's only possible to make water to the end of the far map, you must also sink the terrain from the far map down to waterlevel. The very far map is only mirrored texture and can not be water.
PanzerkwVIIIMaus
then how are rivers made in the far map?

Gnasher
Is very far map a mirror of maintex or farmaintex? If it's the latter things should be ok.
