Billy Riley
I double click on the shortcut and nothing. I double click on the Builder.exe in the game directory and nothing. Any ideas pls?
Madmatt
You have installed the Uber Patch to a Battlefront.com version of the game? Do any of the other editors launch? What about the game itself? Please list your full hardware (video card make and model, CPU etc..) and OS specs. Madmatt
Billy Riley
Ok..sorry, I should've known to give more info. It's the Battlefront download version. I had the previous Patch installed (Moscow addon?) and installed the latest one with apparently no hitches. Game runs fine, although I noticed my saves were gone and I couldn't continue the campaign I had started. I didn't read the read me, but generally things like this happen with new/big patches, so that didn't bother me so much. I can run the Mission/Campaign Editor and Battle Generator My system is Windows XP SP2 AMD Athlon 64 XP3200+ 2GB RAM Gigabyte 7950GT 512MB Sound Blaster 24 Live And the problem seems to be specifically at the map editor. Madmatt
Do me a favor and paste the contents of your bldwin.ini file here. Do you recall if you used to have your Map editor set to run in a Window? I think I might know the problem and how to fix but I want to have a look at that file first. Thanks! Madmatt p.s. As to your previous saves, yes in the readme it says that they will no longer show up after you patch.

Billy Riley
Madmatt, you said 3 days ago you thought you knew what the problem was. I've posted the info you asked for, is there any success in finding what the issue is yet?

Billy Riley
Madmatt? It's been a week now? What about what I posted from the IBI file? Did it help?
Madmatt
Sorry, for the delay in getting back to you. I've been busy with the ToW Demo and CMSF Patch. The thing I was thinking that have might been set wrong looks okay so my initial idea wouldn't work. I will have to see what Sneaksie says about this one. What happens with the Battle Generator and Mission Editor? Do they launch? Madmatt
Billy Riley
Well, Battle Generator works and TOW Mission-Campaign editor loads fine...it's just NOT the ToW Map Editor...it just will not load
Billy Riley
Map editor still will not load. Any movement on this?
Madmatt
This is weird because its uncommon for just this one component to not work when everything else does. My only suggestion at this point would be to go ahead and uninstall and reinstall from scratch, or you could even just install the game to a new directory and see if the map editor works on this new install. If it does, it would point to a simple file corruption issue with your original install. Madmatt
