Roddy
Hi, I've just tried to install ToW from a DVD on to a Dell 1751 running Vista Home Premium. I'm afraid that I can't get it to load. Although autorun is on, nothing happens. If I explore the DVD, clicking on autorun opens notepad & clicking on setup sends my DVD drive into a frenzy of activity, but still nothing actually loads. Any ideas please? Thanks - Roddy
Sneaksie
Hmm, is the DVD surface clean? It seems it can't load setup program, problem with DVD or DVD-ROM drive i think.
Madmatt
Right click on the SETUP.exe and select Run as Admin and see if that works. Due to the size of the files, it could take up to 10-20 minutes for the DVD to actually process the files and begin. It SHOULDN'T take that long, but its possible it could. As Sneaksie said, odds are it could just be a dirty disk. You can clean the DVD with a Q-tip and some diluted alcohol solution and let it airdry. Roddy
Thank you both for your prompt responses. I have fixed the problem - I simply didn't wait for long enough. It took 25 mins to load; 7 for the autoplay dialogue to display! I'm now through basic training thanks - looks great!! Thanks again, Roddy
