Game Shut down issue

I got TOW for a gift , and I want to say that it is a great game,I love it.

But I am having an issue with shutting down the game. When I shut down the game quits ,but it leaves two errors on the desktop. And it keeps over one gig of Ram locked. The only way to fix this is a reboot.

I am unable to tell you the error code as I can't see it,screen goes nuts. This seems to be the only issue that I am having with the game. I have a AMD 4800X2 with an ATI X1900XT video card with the latest drivers, I also have the SB X-FI audio card. Also two gig of ram.

All the drivers are the latest that are out. I have tried without the anti virus or anything else running with no change.

Also I have the AMD drivers for the X2, I am able to play with both cores or with one , and have no issues. I have been playing with just one core just in case that was the issue.

If anyone has any ideas it would help. I can still play the game but it would be nice not to have to reboot after each game.

This is known issue with ATI cards. For now, you can run the alternative exe file in game directory, wich appears after installing of previous patch (TOW_1.4.exe).

This problem will be fixed in upcoming MP patch.

OK thanks, I did not see that in my search. Also are they going to release more in the way of the Inst? I can not seem to find a lot of how to run the game while playing. It just seems to me that some of the details are not included. If I am wrong let me know.

This is not a big complaint. I am learning as I go.

There should be updated version of the manual with new patch.

For now, look into TOW Strategy and Tactics forum, there are several threads at the top of the page with translated hints and in-depth info about ballistics, armor penetration, etc.
