Runtime error after closing down builder

Recommended Posts

After testing the game and the mission editor who’s seems to run fine... maybe a little issue with the game?

I was ready to test the builder.... adding, deleting etc.... OK, it works but when I close it down I got an error:

Runtime error #3 (trap)

And after this another error:

Fatal Error

Crash during termination.

Edit: the logs:

The problem happens with the game and the builder on some ATI cards after playing the mission that has high quality water and when closing the application. The application crashes and stays hanging in the Task Manager.

This bug will be fixed in the nearest patch update.

If you run the game, use tow_1.4.exe or try to set the lower water quality.

If you run the builder, open bldwin.ini in the Theatre of War's directory and set WaterReflection parameter to 0 in the core section.

I have a problem along the same lines, maybe someone can help. Just bought a new laptop (Inspiron 1501 2GB, DDR2, 533MHz 2 DIMM, Vista, AMD Turion 64x2 TL-60 2.0GHz/1MB, ATI Radeon Xpress 1150 w/ 256MB HyperMemory).

I receive that same Runtime #3 Error(trap) message after I hit Play from the DVD.

I have installed the new patch with the Moscow Add-on.

I have renamed to elicen40.dll.

When I try to play the game via ToW 1.4.exe the computer screen just changes to a lower resolution and then nothing. Not even clicking "Run As Administrator" helps!

As the game ran, albeit very slowly, on my old Pentium 4 3.2 Ghz machine, this is very frustrating!!

Please help...

THe game has low expectations of running on a mobile system Maximum setings:

*** The following intergrated Video Chipsets and Video Cards are expressely NOT supported:

Mobile Intel® 900, 915, 925, 82945G or 945GM/GU Express Chipsets

Nvidia GF440MX and earlier

ATI Radeon 9200 and earlier The following intergrated Video Chipsets has been shown to result in poor performance

ATI Radeon Xpress

Minimum: * Windows Vista: Windows Vista (32 bit) is not "officially" supported in this release although we have tested with it and have found that if you have the latest, non-beta drivers for your video and sound card installed, it should work.

** Windows Vista 64bit: Due to an incompatability between Vista 64 bit and Theatre of War, the Mission Editor will NOT function in Vista 64 bit.
