BeWary
Do other programs/games also freeze at random? If so, you might have bad memory. Otherwise, try updating your sound and video drivers. See if your motherboard has a new BIOS version. That's about all I can suggest for now.

WWB
Watch out for VIA mobo/SB Live issues as well. Key question is if you are having problems in any other games. WWB
Belisaris
Yes this happens to some games, but not all.
WWB
Ok, then it is a hardware or driver issue, not necessairly a CM issue. Could be one of several things: 1) the SB/VIA chipset issue I mentioned above. Their busses do not play well together. 2) Heat issue. 3) Botched direct X install issue. First thing to do is to: 1) dl current SB Live driver as well as the 30.8x nVidia drivers. 2) Uninstall Soundcard. 3) Uninstall video card, setting mode to standard VGA. 4) Install directX 8.x. 5) Install sound driver. 6) Install video driver. BeWary
If those suggestions don't work, consider replacing your memory. I've seen bad chips cause random freezing/crashing on 2 separate machines. I recommend only getting memory from www.crucial.com. I've never seen them send out bad RAM. WWB
Actually, I would look at swapping out the soundcard before memory. TB Santa Cruz cards work quite well with VIA chipsets and can be had for $65 or so online. WWB
Madmatt
Also I would strongly suggest you install the latest 4in1 drivers for your Via chipset equiped motherboard. Those drivers will fix a wealth of issues with applications and programs far beyond just CM. You can find them here: http://www.viaarena.com/?PageID=2 Madmatt
Belisaris
I want to thank all who replied to my question. I did one very simple thing I restart my PC before I play CMBB and have no freezing. If I do anything but play the game immediatly after restart it freezes.
