Dirtweasle
With EAX off or on I have some odd echo happening. Directional sound seems to be working as far as I can tell, and it seems as if each shot is represented by the sound of three shots. The menu clicks also seem to echo like that, and the sound in general seems kind of choppy. I've got a Dell PC with the onboard sound chip, a search of the Dell support webpages and patches reveals I have the most current driver. Suggestions? Dennis50
DirtW, Do you have a EAX setup control panel ? Not sure you do being it is an onboard sound chip. But if you do ..you might effects set to cathedral or some such thingy thus you getting the echo. Regards, Gunz
Dirtweasle
I've tried playing with the "sound ambeince" and have not noticed much improvement in game. By the way, other games (Medieval II : Total War for instance) have not had this issue.
Madmatt
Check the Accelration level you have set in your DirectX panel. To access that, go to Start>Run and type in "dxdiag" Once DXDIAG is open, click on the Sound Tab and try different levels of acceleration and see if they make any difference in the game.
