I uninstalled my video drivers and installed detonator 27.70 today, with no improvement. Have installed Direct X 8.1 as well. What sound card do you have ? Do you have any sound or graphic mods loaded up ? Are you overclocking your video card or CPU ? Do you know if your video card or sound card are sharing an IRQ (if you have ACPI enabled they most likely are sharing an IRQ with another device) ? Do you know what chipset your motherboard is based on ? You may need a chipset driver or an updated AGP driver, especially if it is a non-Intel chipset.
