athkatla
Is it possible in the retail game to set our own arcs of fire for our units, like in the CM series? I'd like to be able to set arcs so that certain units engage the enemy at their optimum range, not at their maximum range. If this isn't in the game atm, will it be possible to add it at a later stage? Thanks.
EliotW
An overwatch function would be lovely. Had trouble keeping my tanks in their ambush positions, even with the hold pos. command they wanted to wander off.

JG53_Jaguar
Yeah I had a problem with that too. I tried stop/defend in the demo and my tanks keep moving around that's how they get killed. Is the final version any different ?
gunnersman
There is a "hold fire" and a "hold position" command at the bottom of the command menu. They work great...unless your unit panicks. There is no "ambush" option like in CM. You have to unclick the hold fire command to get your units to open fire at an given range, that is IF you have commanded them to "hold fire". There is no "cover arc" option. The AI is pretty good and covering an area but only after the enemy appears in "that" particular area...whatever that area may be. Otherwise use the "rotate" command for your unit to physically point in a particular direction.
