PiggDogg
Guys, In both CMBO & CMBB, when I am in an orders phase, if I accidently hit the Windows key on the keyboard, the game & computer crash all the way back to the boot screen & the computer reboots. Two questions: (1) Why does this happen? & (2) How can I prevent this (other than not being stupid and not hitting the Windows key ) ? My system which I built in July this year: WinXP Pro AthlonXP 2100 Soyo Dragon mobo 1 gig PC2700 ram Chaintech nVidia GF4 Ti4200 128meg ram WD 60 gig HD Cheers, Richard
Schrullenhaft
I couldn't duplicate this problem with Win98SE or Win2K. Win98SE completely ignored the Windows and 'Menu' keystrokes. Win2K minimizes CMBB when the Windows key is pressed, but it doesn't lock it up or reboot. Both OS's are fully patched. I'm not sure what XP could be doing differently. Do you have any other problems minimizing CM with this computer ?
PiggDogg
Haft, Yes, I am having additional CMBO & CMBB problems similar to the Win key problem. (Additional problem 1) If I am in an orders phase in CMBO & in CMBB and if I minimize the game with the "Esc" key or with the "alt-tab", when I tap on the minimized game on the bottom task bar, the computer crashes back to the boot screen, & the computer reboots. (ouch, that was a long, long sentence). (Additional problem 2) Also, in both games, sometimes (but not always) when I load a file to start a game, as the game/file loads, the computer crashes back to the boot screen, & the computer reboots. Duh. Indeed, CMBO & CMBB don't like being being minimized. I guess that it is such a good game that it does not want to be relegated to small stature. Any help is appreciated. These are not critical problems. However, they are irritating while waiting for the reboot. Cheers, Richard
