Talus Posted June 1, 2006 Share Posted June 1, 2006 I just tried out DropTeam and ran a dedicated server using the command line example in the .PDF file. I tried connecting via DirectPlay to 192.168.1.100 (and noticed that numpad data entry was disabled btw) and got the following error: Your username and password do not appear to be valid. I JUST registered a new account via the in-game account screen and received no error. If I try to create a new account with that username, I get a 'username already in use' error. Any ideas? I remember reading that similar issues were cropping up in a previous version, but this is the first I've seen for this version. I would appreciat being able to log in to a server. ClaytoniousRex Posted June 1, 2006 Share Posted June 1, 2006 Talus, are you behind a firewall that would prevent your dedicated server from making an outbound TCP connection to our account server? If you're not sure, then give us some details about your setup (OS, internet connection, etc.) Also, do you have the same problem when trying to play against the public servers, or is this only happening when you try to connect to your own server?
