Julianta
Hi. This must be common and easy to solve, but I couldn't find anything on it in the archives under obvious titles. Anyway, I'm on AOL and my opponent is on Yahoo and every time we try to send a PBEM saved game text (.txt) file attached to an email, it arrives at the other end with the file embedded (i.e. written out) in the body of the email and not as an attached text file. This happens in both directions. We'll appreciate any help that will enable us to actually play a PBEM game. Thanks in advance.
Coffin 'Enry
I have seen this problem too. In my case it has sometimes happened when I have read the email via Internet Explorer on my ISP's web mail facility. Not only does the .txt appear to get embedded it also 'over-writes' my opponents actual message. On each occassion this has happened actually downloading the email on to my PC using Outlook has produced the correct format, restored my opponents message and allowed me to save the attached .txt file normally. I am not an expert on why this should happen, but given the nature of this forum, no doubt one will be along in a while. Cheers
