G-Man
Hi everybody, It's my first post to this forum. I'm a Battlefront fan and I've enjoyed their products for a couple of years. I've been following many threads on this forum and I've been waiting to patch 1.03 to get deep in the game. I've installed patch 1.03, went to quick battles (WEGO mode) and I was given a scenario where all troops and vehicles were in one corner of the deployment site. I selected all personnel and vehicles, placed 1 way point in the distance to get them moving, and when the simulation started I noticed the following: 1) All troops remained standing still not moving. 2) Vehicles began moving and they ran over the troops passing through their bodies like if there were ghosts. Troops remained still all the time. 3) Vehicles then passed through other vehicles too. So it looks like there is no collision detection in version 1.03 Is this an artifact that only applies during the very first move/phase in a battle or is it a bug? And BTW, way to go Battlefront! Most excellent game! Best, G-Man.
Hawkmek
Collisions are alive and well. This UBER BIMP took out a Bradley. The conjoined twins succumbed shortly thereafter. Battle was Al Wadi Bugger or something. Nice map. Especially with the 1.03 textures.
Sivodsi
All vehicles in QBs do start in one corner, but did you deploy them in the setup zone? It is easy to confuse because you can also use 'move' to issue commands from the setup. The difference is if your 'move' command is within the setup area (darkened patch on your side of the terrain) in which case it will 'place' the units, or outside, in which case it will be a move command. Hope this is not too basic advice for you.

G-Man
Sivodsi, Thanks for the reply and explanation. No hard feelings for going back to the basics. Better not to take things for granted. Yes, I do know how to move troops & vehicles in the deployment area to the issue commands/orders. In this case I did not reposition anything. I just decided to issue the order to move out just to see what would happen. I was expecting to see the troops move aside to give room the vehicles to move out as well as see the vehicels coordinate with the troops and other vehicles. Clearly that was not the case. Interesting to see Hawkmek's screeshot. That's exactly what I saw with the US vehicles in addition to running over the troops and the troops just standing with no casualties on top of that. It looks like this is an existing bug. Could anybody from the developing team comment on this? Thanks much in advance. Best, G-Man.
