The vehicle and ambient sounds almost totally drown out the voices... is there a file I can edit? Any help would be appreciated. Redwolf Posted March 23, 2004 Share Posted March 23, 2004 You can solve this by converting all the other sound files to have a lower volument in the soundfile itself. Obviously you want a scriptable commandline toolkit to do this so that you don't have to open all files manually. The "sox" toolkit is one of those. http://sox.sourceforge.net/ So also allow you to edit the tone. If you want more emphasis on the voices it is often better not just to make them louder but to edit the sound of the background sounds to equalize the mids where the critial parts of voices live to be at a lower level than the rest of the spectrum. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
