vehicles engaging entrenched units: bug or WAD?

Hi guys came across this problem while playing hammertime earlier this evening

my bradleys appeared to have LOS to units in trenches however when ordered they wouldn't engage. turrent wouldn't turn or anything, forget to check the 'status' of the gunner though.. i.e aiming etc

is this a bug and has anyone else experience it? 1 reason I could think of was that the turret couldn't depress enough to engage and therefore didn't but I wasn't sure. Any feedback guys?
