SmittyOhio
I am having problems with my Inspiron 8200 with a 64MB ATI Radeon 9000....I've installed the latest video drivers and video BIOS from Dell. The actual play screen looks great. The status area at the bottom has a few areas (victory area & unit icon) that flash repeatedly. Seems like it is showing the redraw. Also, my mouse cursor disappears when not moving, and flashes when being moved. The rest of the graphics look awesome....Any help would be appreciated... Thanks, Craig
Schrullenhaft
Downgrade to the Catalyst 2.3 drivers. Several users mentioned earlier that they had problems with the newer Catalyst drivers and the info areas of the screen. I'm not sure if this will affect you cursor issue though.
SmittyOhio
Thanks for the reply...not sure how to downgrade to the drivers you mentioned...The Mobility Radeon drivers are supposedly only available from the laptop provider. In order to downgrade, I assume I'd have to download some new drivers and edit some .inf files to add the mobility sections... SmittyOhio
OK...I went back to the previous Dell ATI Radeon Mobility 9000 drivers and CMBB works fine! My other games I was having problems with using these older drivers work fine now also...The video BIOS update I did must have fixed the original problems. All is good!
