Schrullenhaft
The version of Windows 98 that you're loading is the 1st Edition which comes with DirectX 5.0. You need to install at least DirectX 6.1. You can get DirectX 8.0a from here (version 8.1 should be available around the beginning of November or so): http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/release.asp?ReleaseID=27741 Installing this should fix the error you're getting with CMBO. You may want to consider reinstalling your video driver after updating DirectX 8.0a, but I don't know how necessary that may be.
Emos
Thanks Schrullenhaft! It worked as expected...how did I overlook the obvious?
