kevinkins
Can these be set up where units gain points leaving the map at set positions? I don't think so and given the nature of the fast pace of this simulation is this an omission that needs a fix? Kevin
SlowMotion
AFAIK it's not possible at the moment. There are some related things already in scenario editor though: -Terrain objectives of TOUCH type - you get points when your units just reach the objective area. -Unit objectives where you get points depending on how many units you destroy. Maybe we could get a combination of these two - a terrain objective that has to be reached, but the number of points depends on how many of selected units do reach the area. This would make possible not only Exit-type battles that were in CMx1, but new "reach area" kind of objectives: cross a river, evacuate a town and so on.
kevinkins
Convoy battles with light vehicles are tough to set-up if they cant exit. Or make the map very large compared the size of the force. Kevin
thelmia
I use touch, but it comes out weird. You send one unit on a suicide run to tag the objective while leaving the rest of the force safe. Occupy works a bit better, but leaves a big laager of vehcicles at the edge of the map. Neither is realy satisfactory.
kevinkins
I agree. Exits cant be too hard to program and would add to the designers toolbox. Kevin
