Grass viewing distances

I was wondering if there's any way to tweak the grass disappearing too soon.

The grass seems to fade already a few meters away while this probably helps performance it looks rather 'rough' and I was wondering if there something we can do maybe to increase viewing distance for grass and foilage to make the terrain (even) more realistic looking?

I know, I know I am whining... ;)

Anybody know how that would be accessed on an German "QWERTZ" keyboard ??? Neither do the "[" "]" keys on my keyboard work that setting, nor the keys that are placed where the american "[" "]" would be, eg "Ü" and "*" keys ???

It's probably the { and } keys. I assume you have those on a 'qwertz' keyboard?

It would be nice if these things were seperated into their own graphics options. I would prefer to turn off the grass while keeping vehicle and soldier polycounts higher.
