adic
Hi there ! I have following config: AMD Barton 2600+ 1,5 Gb DDR 400 GForce 6600 128 Mb Hdd WD160G I'm not satisfied with the performance in this game, the game is not running smooth. Is fragging , especially when I run with speed over fields with grass or bushes. Its really annoying when I’m taking fire, and explosions are bursting around my tank and I try to move the gun to aim . The image stops just for a sec or two, enough to miss the target or to overshoot the objective. I set the graphics to medium, but seem to be the same. Please help me with ideas! Thanx
KiloAlpha4
it's the grass reduce quality and view distance in options.
adic
Thanx KA4 ! I had the impression that my computer can handle this game with default setting ... I'm wrong !
KiloAlpha4
no prob I don't know why the grass makes your fps drop so much but it does. Even with grass at low textures, any distance over 80 for view can be a lag fest. I have a Radeon 9600 128 meg ddr myself. I also find that turning on dust in the options will slow frame rates as well but then again I play the game at lcd quality 1280 x 1024 x 32 bit x 75 hertz. KiloAlpha4
P.S. disabling shadows will help your fps as well.
klugman
My system runs this sim smoothly at 1024x768 with all graphics on high. I have my grass set at 100. 25-30+ fps. Also, I dont get any lockups at all now, Even when overclocking.
