tank boy
yeah, i dont know what i did, but the prob from my previous post is back. actually, i played it for half an hour or so after the last post and i worked fine (then my boss came in and i shut it off) today, the lock was back. i timed it and it locks after three minutes exactly. is there some kind of way i can find out what is going on in the background? i followed black vipers tweaks for winxp and turned off or disabled most of the services running in the background.
Schrullenhaft
Of the services that you turned off, were you just 'stopping' them or did you disable them ? Stopping a service will do it only for that session and as soon as you reboot it will load up (if set to load automatically).

Schrullenhaft
I have no idea what services could cause problems with CMBO. It works with the installations I've had (though I don't use XP extensively) without changing anything. Another user in a recent thread has had some luck with an unrelated problem (SB Live audio playback) by setting CMBO (in the Properties dialog) to use Win2K compatibility mode. However compatibility mode settings often have a good chance of making CMBO not see your CD (this will vary depending on the hardware you have - with the Win9x/ME settings being the most likely to keep CM from working).
