Unhandled Exception

Clash of Eagles is a huge scenario. It might be overwhelming your video card. It ought not to have an 'exception'... but the Banshee is an older card and might have bugs in the driver.

Can you send me the details? Like the hexadecimal code where it breaks, etc.

Yes, I was thinking that it was probably the video card running out of memory. This problem cropped up when I was using the artillery. 3x81MM,2x250MM, 2x8Inchers, all at the same time. What I did was uninstall CM, and re-install just version 1.0 without the patch or Madmatt mods. No problems. I'm going to try the patch again on that level and see what happens. If the patch is not the problem then the only logical explanation is the Madmatt mod which seems unlikely becuase it is just BMPs/Wav files.

I'll figure out what is causing this problem. It is either the v1.1 patch with my card, or the Madmatt mod.

Thanks,

Anthony

The MadMatt mod uses large hi-res BMPs which can overload video cards with limited RAM, however. Just something to keep in mind.

I tried CM with the v1.01 patch. No problems, couldn't get it to crash. When I tried it with the Madmatt mods. The artillery, Jabos dropping bombs, High res smoke, Trees full coverage did me in. I think my Card is running out of memmory like you said using those high res bmps. When I installed I noticed that the BMP were much bigger, sometimes 2 or 3 times the original.

I guess it's time to buy a better card with 32megs RAM. Anyone have a GEFORCE II they want to sell cheap? LOL

Thanks Charles. I'm 90% sure it is the high-res bmps. If your still interested I got this in Win98.
