Will we be able to "cash in" our original skills and purchase some of the new skills? - OR - Will we have to start from scratch with new pilots when the expansion is released? - OR - Will we be able to use our old pilots, but any new expanion skills purchased will just be extremely costly due to all our prior skill purchases? bartbert Posted May 2, 2006 Share Posted May 2, 2006 To be honest, I hadn't given it much thought. By default, the answer to your question is that it would be the last option you mentioned. It might be possible to introduce a new skill that would allow pilots to cash in their skills in order to repurchase a different set. I'm not sure what the cost would be, but it would need to be high enough such that players wouldn't be cashing in their skills too frequently. You pay 10,000 exp or something outrageous, but your skills are then reset just like when a leader dies and the wingman is promoted. Sixxkiller Posted May 2, 2006 Share Posted May 2, 2006 Bride, Honestly the new skills are not meant to be earth shattering and some are pretty much the same in additions to skills as what we already can use. What they do do however is make this more of an RPG as you can be interception, escort, or a dogfighter. I can also tell you that I am really not worried about more than a few of the skills. The wingman gets the really good stuff anyway IMO. But I will tell you that if you want to use these new skills, well Sadahara will be more than happy to end your reign as the monthly killer!!! I will give you the directions to an airfield near Japan where he will be flying CAP in the near future!
